Give Them Grace

Plenty of parenting books contain advice on how to raise well-behaved children, but according to Elyse Fitzpatrick and Jessica Thompson's "Give them Grace", all parents - even Christian ones - are incapable of raising good kids.

Wrestling with an angel

Salvation by grace is at the heart of Christianity. We're familiar with that; we know what it looks like. Perhaps what we're less familiar with is sustaining grace - continuing to rely on God. Practically, what does that look like? "Wresting An Angel" gives you a good idea.

The Next Evangelicalism

To think about the future of global Christianity we need to think long and hard about non-white, non-Western ministry. Soon-Chan Rah notes that by '2050, African, Asian and Latin American Christians will constitute 71 percent of the world's Christian population' (13) and, indeed, 'the church is not dying in America; it is alive and well... among the immigrant and ethnic minority communiteis' (14).

Voices: The Carrical Project

The producers of Voices: The Carrical Project know the power of theatre and they're not afraid to use it. They know when you watch a movie, see a play, read a novel or view a painting, you give the artist permission to venture deeper into your heart than you will let anyone else. You do it without thinking.

On the Verge

'On the Verge' is the latest missiological treatise to come from the collective pens of Alan Hirsch and Dave Ferguson. They think the church must change to meet the culture and the world today. They say the church needs to change in four areas: we need to Imagine a new future, we need to shift our thinking and our practices, we need to innovate or die, and finally we need to move or get momentum.
